Clayton Patterson and Mint&Serf “93 Till Infinity” at Tribes Gallery in the LES

This article was posted by Senior Editor 1 year, 1 month, 2 weeks, 2 hours, 18 minutes ago.

Clayton Patterson has documented the changing face of the Lower East Side over the past 30 years. An exhibition opening tonight at Tribes Gallery takes a look at some of those photos, taken in the early 90’s, and exhibited in the neighborhood where they were shot. The show is a collaboration with Mint&Serf, who along with their PPP crewmates have supersaturated the walls with layers and layers of fill-ins and tags from floor to ceiling. This is definitely not going to be your typical gallery opening.
