Free Agents Collective and the Miami Light Project present Premiere! A group art exhibition and mural debut during Miami’s Art Basel Week 2012. The Free Agents are a collective of autonomous artists from New York City who work out of a shared studio space in Chelsea, New York. With roots in urban contemporary art, and for many, in New York’s graffiti culture, the collective collaborates on exhibitions, public murals, lectures, and workshops. The Free Agents are Ket, Klass, Carlos Mare, Alice Mizrachi, Phetus, Queen Andrea, and Ezo Wippler.
From oil paintings to sculpture, oversize ornate typography to photography, from intricate installations to limited edition screen prints, this exhibition will feature an exciting presentation of artistic style from the Free Agents. For their Premiere exhibition, Free Agents will introduce a body of work demonstrating their skill, concept and aesthetic. In conjunction with the interior exhibition, the collective will collaborate on a mural project showcased on the exterior walls of Miami Light Project’s home,The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse.
