Preview: Modern Multiples “LA ST. SEEN” at Red Arrow Contemporary

The grand opening of Red Arrow Contemporary, an innovative new gallery in Dallas, Texas will take place this Saturday, February 18th in the Dallas Design District. The show appropriately named LA ST. SEEN will feature an extensive collection of prints that have been produced at Modern Multiples in Los Angeles by several prolific street and graffiti artists in addition to some of their original works. A roll call of some of the notables that will be featured in this exhibition includes Chaz Bojorquz, Saber, Retna, Haze, Futura, and Banksy.
A statement from the gallery reads; “Just as all great art movements are born of rebellion against established norms the protagonist of this, our first show, have literally risen up from the streets. Street Art, Urban Art - whatever you call it - it is art, and the global recognition of this genre continues to build while defying the conventional art market.”
The show, which follows in the footsteps of a recent Dallas mural installation project by Shepard Fairey, will also feature several of his serigraphs and Hand Painted Multiples. LA ST. SEEN will also showcase works by Hacer, a writer turned fine art sculptor who’s trade mark folded origami forms can be viewed all over Los Angeles.
