With Bushwick Open Studios mere hours away, Robin Grearson gave 12oz the first look at her Pop-Up Store for the event. Many times when street art transitions into the sales world those who appreciate their aesthetics in the streets can’t fork over the money for an original piece. However, Grearson has made it a clear goal of her store to have no art for sale over $300 (with most pieces going for much less). A combination of works created specifically for the space, such as the enchanting Hellbent shirt of PBR cans, and old favorites, like the QRST from this article, Grearson’s store brings together a blend of those we love to see in the streets. Nearly twenty artists are represented in the space, from graff writers to wheatpasters to even 12oz’s own Daniel Feral. While several of the works can be seen above, visit the store all weekend to see the rest of the art and pick up a few of the freebies that will be given away at the space.
