Mike Bam Tyau curates the exhibit

Opening Friday July 20, at the 1am gallery in SF, The Composite Knowledge features progressive experimentalists Poesia, Jaybo Monk and Samuel Rodriguez. These are hardcore painters taking it to the next level.

These Graffuturists keep graff at the core with healthy aerosol obsessions developed during their backgrounds on the streets, but are now exhibiting hybrid styles that explore other painting-centric ideas and techniques. Below are some preview photos of the installation in progress and the canvases being hung. See the work in person though to really appreciate the advanced level of technique, detail and intensity.

Install photos on this page, Jaybo on the second page, Sam on the third and Poesia on the fourth.
