Profile: Serve FBA – Serving the Competition

By - Friday, April 13th, 2012

I wouldn’t hesitate to say Serve FBA is one of the sickest graffiti writers in New York, and also one of the most underrated. Fast Breaking Artists was one of the most influential crews to light up the lines and brought a unique style and flare to the NYC subways with their colorful pieces in the 80’s. Serve’s skills are as on point as ever rocking some of the dopest pieces and characters, often times writing other artist’s names, in part showing his versatility. Terror161 wrote about Serve today on his blog on 12ozProphet. “When my man CES put me up on this dude I was vaguely aware of his character work on the early FX walls. I got the pleasure of working with him during a project we worked on for a European collector in 2007. Watching him in action made me a believer. Lightning speed and pinpoint can control. Another guy who made me glad I quit this sport eons ago. His black book work is amongst the best I’ve ever seen . What I love about dude is he does 90 % of his work for the pure love of the art. Oh yeah and those big booty girls of his ain’t too hard on the eyes either.” -Terror161 Scroll down to check out some photos of Serve’s amazing work posted in the Fast Breaking Art thread in the Writers Forum by STYLEISKING.
