This conceptual piece by Andrew Ohanesian is a roll-down gate installed directly from the street replacing the storage closet door. A utilitarian tool necessary on the street is an art object in the gallery by way of useless overprotection.
AvOne of Destroy and Rebuild created a multimedia expression of the streets of NYC, consisting of silkscreened photographs, painted elements utilizing graffiti materials, and a wooden cut out tag.
In the center of the wall is the iconic M tag by Map cut out of wood exactly as it would appear on the street, but stepped up for the gallery setting.
Bringing sign-making aesthetics into the gallery, Spector states that - Illegal Graffiti is super fun and very addictive! Many writers also call themselves adrenaline junkies defining the addiction concept as a bio-chemical dependency.
