Recap: London Police "Who Cares Wins" at Opera Gallery

By - Friday, November 25th, 2011

Last week, the British art collective The London Police opened their amazing new show “Who Cares Wins” at Opera Gallery in SoHo to a packed house. The mostly monochromatic show consisted of their playfully whimsical signature characters known as “the Lads” and were mixed in with some iconic NYC architecture as well as a few familiar faces from NYC’s art scene in addition to portraits of themselves, Einstein and Steve Jobs to name a few. Chaz and Bob, the duo behind the London Police, brought a full body of work complete with tight lines, futuristic landscapes and a gang of smiling and morphing Lads characters. The gallery was packed from the jump off and the show was well received. Later in the evening, artist Abner Preis introduced “The London Police Dog Singers” and their collection of “Dog Songs” We were in for a special treat as the Dandy Warhols were on stage to harmonize with Chaz and Bob.
