RECAP: Persue Making Change

By - Wednesday, May 7th, 2014

Persue came through Detroit to work on a few projects with Nychos and Trav, but one project stuck out. Persue teamed up with some of Detroit’s local 5th graders who belong to a group called Changmakers, to brighten up the wall of an abandoned juvenile detention center located across from their school. The mural was created to endorse positive energy in the city.

Everything went well as Persue and the kids slapped paint on the wall…literally. People driving and walking stopped to check out the art, and even after a slight street cred check by Detroit’s finest they stuck around for a bit to watch the art in progress. The mural went up with the help of Persue, Changemakers, Inner State Gallery and 1xRun.
