By - Monday, May 19th, 2014

I like Detroit because it is very do-it yourself and I am a very do-it yourself artist so it is a great fit – Skark Toof

Inner State Gallery presents new opening with Shark Toof and his show entitled “I’m Shark Toof, Who The Hell Are You”. This show is an expansive examination of Toof’s continually evolving style that explores a harmonious mix of his signature shark icon with pop culture and comic book inspirations. The show will feature all new paintings, hand-painted multiples, stencil works and prints that blend Toof’s signature street aesthetic alongside his refined fine art gallery works.

Perpetually on the move in the continually changing worldwide street art scene, Shark Toof continues to rank among the genre’s most recognizable artists. His work has been seen both in the street with massive murals, iconic wheat paste banners and marker tags as well as in most cutting edge galleries with immersive installations interwoven with masterful contemporary paintings. Although much of Toof’s outdoor work is primarily executed with aerosol, his strong technical skills and mastery with more traditional mediums has continued to place his work alongside some of the world’s best.
