Here’s the latest show by Sinic and Xeme titled Portland Street at AR Hong Kong. Portland Street is the most famous red light district in Hong Kong. Neon lights and vivid signage could be found along the street. All these specially designed “installations” on Portland Street made it a unique attraction in Hong Kong. Sinic and Xeme, were fascinated by the signage and lettering which are commonplace on Portland Street, and decided to use it as their visual theme for this exhibition. Check out the flicks and see how both artists alter this sensitive topic into an aesthetic and playful way.
