Recap: Streets of Copenhagen Street Art Meets Graffiti

By - Thursday, December 15th, 2011

Bates just posted a photo recap from Streets of Copenhagen: Street Art Meets Graffiti featuring work from Bates, Poet, Great, Soten, Kissmama, Basco5, Don John, and Miss Take. Well Done Daphne, who presented the exhibition, intended to challenge the definition of street art. “Is street art and graffiti still street art when shown at an art exhibition or in a gallery? Or is it then just simply art, without the “street” prefix. And is it possible to translate the genres used on the streets into pieces of art that you can buy and hang on your wall? Many are doing it, but it remains one of the most provoking and interesting questions when it comes to the arts of the streets?” Click through the pages below to check out more work from the exhibition. {pagebreak} Click through the pages below to check out more work from the exhibition. {pagebreak} Click through the pages below to check out more work from the exhibition. {pagebreak} Streets of Copenhagen: Street Art meets Graffiti is up from November 19th – December 19th.
