Recap: Swoon's Braddock Tiles Benefit Show
This past weekend Swoon had a one day pop-up gallery to raise funds for her Braddock Tiles project in conjunction with Anita Shapolsky Gallery and Super Chief Gallery. The event was held on the Upper East Side in Anita Shapolsky’s bi-level gallery space located at 152 East 65th Street in New York City. The ground floor had the full line-up of prints while the second floor had most of the original pieces as well some short videos. There were musical performances throughout the night as well a fire pit out in the back garden area. The show appeared to be a great success with a constant line of people waiting to buy the limited edition prints and original pieces. The prints are all editions of 250 and are not signed by the artist themselves. They all measure 13″x19″ and are high quality prints which have been embossed with the Braddock Tiles logo. New prints will be released for sale online this Thursday with a limited quantity available to those who attended the show; they included a new Swoon print (her third with this project), a stunning piece by Retna and one by Brian Adam Douglas (a.k.a. Elbow Toe) to name a few. Be sure to check out the Braddock Tiles website for more information on the project and to pick up some prints, at $45 a piece these really are a steal and it never hurts to support a good cause.
