Recap: Tilt "Agnostic Fonts" at the Montana Gallery in Barcelona

By - Wednesday, May 30th, 2012

Last week Tilt opened his Agnostic Fonts show at the Montana Gallery in Barcelona, Spain. Tilt has achieved something quite unique with this show in that he turned the gallery space into a church like setting with works that almost appear to be the type of stained glass you might see in a cathedral. The title of the show Agnostic Fonts is a reference to the punk group ‘Agnostic Front’ but also refers to the content of his show. The show features windows containing common phrases in hip-hop and graffiti culture, but also Tilt’s signature bubble letter fonts and paintings of pop culture icons such as the Rolling Stones’ logo, Marilyn Monroe and Super Mario Brothers’ characters. The show will be open until July 7th. View photos from the opening reception on the next page… {pagebreak} Source: MTN World
