Akomplice Clothing released its latest collaborative effort, the Ricky Powell New York Crimes hat collection. To complete the pun, the New York Times typeface is used for the New York Crimes snap back and NY Crimes pom beanie, the perfect hats for all you hoodlums out there. The street renaissance man Ricky Powell has joined the roster of Akomplice collaborators which includes Wu-Tang Clan, MF Doom, Sneaker Freaker, Frank 151, and Vernon Davis. Falling into Powell’s 50 Years and Still Bangin’ Anniversary, this has been another historic year for Powell, and it’s not even over! Be on the look out for more projects from Akomplice including Shorty Skateboard collab, trashhand lookbook, an X-Large capsule collection, and another Raekwon project all dropping before Christmas.

There will be a release party for the hats and a live photo exhibition with the Funky Uncle in the building this Saturday the 17th, at 8 pm, at the Fuzion store in Santa Barbara. Come by for drinks, music, and giveaways.
