Street Art: Run Mural in Hackney, London
This article was posted by beastieboo 7 months, 1 week, 5 days, 18 hours, 50 minutes ago.
Run’s latest mural in his London based project is a piece that takes over the old Tram Depot on Upper Clapton road, Hackney. The Italian street artist hopes to make London “more human” with a series of walls that depict personal experiences.
The wall is reminiscent of the East Asian folktale of the red string of fate. A myth that suggests that when two people are destined to be together, that they are connected by a red string that will never break regardless of distance or circumstance.
Run has uploaded scans of the progress of his Upper Clapton road mural onto his blog, which show how the piece grew from a rough sketch on paper to a large wall in Clapton, London.
