Recap: Secret Walls x Hong Kong – Round One

By - Thursday, September 5th, 2013

For the first time, Secret Walls added Hong Kong to its list of cities this year. Started in Shoreditch London in 2006, Secret Walls pins two artists head-to-head in a 90 minute battle armed with only black markers and acrylic paint. On August 20th, illustrator Cath Love went up against tattoo artist Wang for Round One of Secret Walls x Hong Kong. With diverse backgrounds came very different styles, which undoubtedly made judging difficult. Nevertheless, Cath came and conquered the battle with her illustration, mocking Wang as a tattoo artist who gives ridiculous tramp stamps to drunk girls. However inaccurate this depiction might have been, it was definitely a crowd pleaser and got Cath the win.
