Why is it that new things are often created by accident? In this video from Ride Channel, Rodney Mullen talks about how he did the kickflip, a.k.a. magic flip, accidentally. At the time, it was just another new trick; no one knew the impact it would have on skateboarding. Then Rodney started seeing other people doing it; he says, “just knowing, ‘wow that’s really happening,’ and then it started happening fast.”
