Today we know the Skatepark of Tampa as the home of the Tampa Pro and the Tampa Am. This contest arena becomes the starting point for many am skaters into the pro ranks and is the home base of skateboarding in the Tampa area. In this part 1 of 2 on the skatepark of Tampa, we learn how the part was created, how the park almost was lost forever, and how it turned into the park we know and love today.
