Staple Pigeon Summer '14 CollectionStaple Pigeon Summer ’14 Lookbook “Paradise Lost”
New York City is heating up and that only means one thing, summer is under way. Staple has prepared for the warm weather with a new collection drawing inspiration from athletics and nautical culture, with influence from the laid-back island lifestyle. Paradise Lost is full of playful patterns, distinct color combinations, bold graphics and mixed fabrications that take the classic sport aesthetic to new heights.
In true Staple form, Paradise Lost also ushers in a new collaboration with legendary artist Steven Harrington, cited as the leader of a contemporary Californian psychedelic-pop aesthetic. The overall concept for the capsule collection will be based around “good luck & good vibes.” Harrington’s vivid and wild imagery has now joined the Positive Social Contagion in the hopes of spreading good vibes from Manhattan to Manhattan Beach. The Staple x Steven Harrington psychedelic capsule collection will be released with the second summer delivery, hitting stores May 15, 2014.
Staple operates in NYC and has been in business since 1997. It has three main divisions: a clothing collection, a creative agency and a retail store. For the past 17+ years, Staple has created one of the most respected street culture brands ever. The Staple Pigeon is now a world-renowned symbol that reflects the gritty and reckless energy New Yorkers (and all urban dwellers) possess. It not only exists as a representation of New York but is also the influence behind Staple’s extensive apparel range and collaborative products distributed in the top retailers across the globe.
