STASH at Leica LA

By - Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014

This past Friday night at the Leica Gallery and Store in Beverly Hills, CA. Famed New York graffiti writer and photographer STASH had an opening reception for his Visual Maintenance exhibit featuring new photographic collaborations created with Leica and some painted works giving the attendees a brief look at his show that opened the next day at The Seventh Letter Store on Fairfax Ave in Hollywood. The party catered by celebrity chef and designer Jon Buscemi kept the packed house fed while the works of art by STASH helped feed the eyes and minds of the hungry crowd. STASH’s photographs ranged from pics of cityscapes in black and white to shots of spray cans that told stories of the painted works upstairs. The painted pieces were colorful mixes of paint sprays in mesmerizing patterns that captured the eye’s attention when looked at. The opening went from 7pm- 10pm and the store was packed the whole time with many designers, photographers and graffiti legends in attendance including SSUR, Shepard Fairey, and Van Styles. Stash’s work can be seen at the Leica Store at 8783 Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles until April13th, 2014.
