Studio Visit: Doubleday & Cartwright

By - Thursday, June 16th, 2011

The other day, we went over to check out 12oz blogger, and family, Grotesk aka Kimou Meyer’s new studio space over at Doubleday and Cartwright. For those of you that don’t know, Doubleday & Cartwright is a media and design agency focusing in on sport and culture. The creative team over there is stacked high with some heavy hitters putting out some amazing work. Most known works include designing the garment customization space for Nike Stadium and 255, and the Doc Ellis viral video that we still go to for that lunch time laughter. The list goes on for days though for their achievements. The new space is amazing. From the instance you walk in you get the feeling of creative energy all around you. While over at the studio, we were able to catch a sneak peak at the latest issue of Victory, which is their quarterly journal showing off sport and culture stories. Some recent work coming out of the studio comes from Doubleday member James Blagden. Hes been keeping busy finishingup the poster and some of the animation for the Tribe Called Quest documentary. Keep checking Grotesk’s blog, and the Doubleday blog for updates on the agencies upcoming works. And go peep some of the new apparel in the No Mas shop.
