Recently, we published a story on The Hotel Eddystone, the Hotel Park Avenue sits adjacent to it and is equally covered in graffiti and street art. It too faces either demolishment or complete renovation when the new hockey arena is built in Detroit.
On March 21st Derek Hess returned to Detroit after a ten plus year hiatus. His show Critical Infrastructure Against External Threats drew quite a crowd at Inner State Gallery. If you click on Inner State Gallery's link you can see all of the art shown that evening.
Famed Hotel Eddystone and two others built by Louis Kamper all on one block are now sitting center in the plans for Detroit's new hockey arena. The fate remains unknown for now if they will be redeveloped or demolished.
