The Boneyard Project – Graffiti Rocked Mass Transit

By - Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

Using a grave yard of airplanes as the basis for their canvas, the Boneyard Project seeks to re imagine our relationship with flight through a series of collaborations with prominent graffiti and fine artists. The Boneyard Project provides and interesting and fresh new perspective to painting metal and to airplane visual aesthetics by utilizing a medium that originally defined itself across the stretches of mass transit. With the rising costs and fears associated with airline travel in recent years, The Boneyard Project looks to re invigorate the appeal that commercial aviation once had. The Boneyard, was group project made possible with the help of several artists such as Retna, Saner, HOW, NOSM, Nunca, Kiko, Valeu, and Abraco. This might just be the first step in a new era of rocked transit. Photos by Viejas Del Mercado
