Throwback Jam of the Week: Hip 2 Da Game – Lord Finesse

By - Thursday, July 11th, 2013

Any Hip Hop fan should already be familiar with the work of Bronx native Lord Finesse. With three solo records and producer credits on some very influential records including Biggie’s Ready to Die, Big L’s Lifestyles Ov Da Poor & Dangerous and Dr Dre’s 2001, Finesse has more than left his mark on the game. Oddly enough it’s the beat that earned this song the Throwback Jam title for this week, and not because of the $10 million lawsuit it sparked between himself and Mac Miller. Finesse’s production on the song radiates thoughts of summer living and the easy life, both of which are visually depicted in the video with scantly clad women, suitcases of money and brick sized Gameboys. It’s hard to imagine life could get much better than that.
