In 1994 Jay-Z was an up and coming drug dealer from the Marcy Projects, with no deal, two singles on deck and Dame Dash at his side. Today, Dash is gone and Jay-Z has become the image of everything he claimed he would achieve; a mogul on top of the game and one of the most respected business men in America. While his most recent album Magna Carta… Holy Grail was decidedly decent, it’s really the pre-retirement Jay-Z that we all recognize as great.
I Can’t Get With That, is the B-Side track on HOV’s first single In My Lifetime. The video was never officially released but predictably made it’s way to the surface to provide a glimpse at a younger, hungrier Jay. Before he brought the Nets to Brooklyn, he was out on the very same streets hustlin’ to get him self heard but MCHG may have been his biggest hustle yet, after he scored a deal with Samsung that guaranteed his album to go platinum before it was even released. Clearly Jigga has still got it.
