Throwback Thursday: The 357 Crew

By - Thursday, October 22nd, 2015

Today’s Throwback Thursday post will feature one of New York City’s most famous crews. The 357 crew has been around since the 80s, and hasn’t stopped since. It’s most prominent members include RD, RE, DE3, and Lace. Cost KRT even bombed with the crew back in the day.

According to an essay written by DE3, 357 started in 1984-85 in Lace’s kitchen. The original members were RD, DE3, Lace, and JJ (RIP). The crew would go on to take over the 6 train line and the B trains underneath Central Park. After the train days were over the crew moved to the streets. Look at any fire hydrant and the city and you will see RD’s famous style.

Check out the gallery above to check some of the crew’s work. Also peep the two videos of the crew bombing during the 90s below. 12oz hopes the crew keeps going strong for 30 years and counting.
