Throwback Thursday: King Robbo In NYC

By - Thursday, October 1st, 2015

Today’s Throwback Thursday post features the legendary King Robbo (RIP). Here is a great flick of a New York City subway car that King Robbo hit in 1992.

King Robbo was one of London’s greatest graffiti writers and hit the British subway cars hard during the 80s. He came back into the graffiti scene after Banksy went over one of the oldest works of graffiti in London, made by King Robbo himself. The war between Banksy and King Robbo lasted from 2009-11, a battle between street art and graffiti. Unfortunately the battle ended after King Robbo fell into a coma on April 2nd 2011. King Robbo never recovered and passed away on July 31st, 2014.

Rest in Peace to King Robbo. This Throwback Thursday goes out to you.
