Throwback Thursday: Rain Basel 2015 pt. 1

By - Thursday, February 18th, 2016

A couple of months ago a few of us from the Dirty Dozen (12oz) Team converged on good ol’ Miami, Florida for Art Basel 2015 expecting the usual art overload as well as some fun in the sun. Unfortunately,  Mother Nature wasn’t quite willing to comply with the fun in the sun part as it rained every day that we were there except just as we were leaving. But, that was only in the day….the nights were warm and dry and drunk and a completely different story, but that’s for another time.

So anyway, in between the rain drops and flooded streets we were able to meet up with many of our friends and familiar faces from the world wide graff community. We also made new friends and contacts like we always do, and everyone did their thing in a big way as usual. The artists painted walls and we documented while drinking, smoking and eating everything in sight.

This is part 1 of 2 of the images I captured through my lens.  I’m sure that those of you that are into the graff scene will recognize many of these people and many of the burners that I was fortunate enough to photograph but even for those of you that might just be casual fans of the art I hope that you also enjoy what you see.
