Throwie Thursday: Detroit Edition

By - Thursday, March 19th, 2015

Whether you’re driving through the eastside or down in southwest, you might recognize some of these throws through the D. They belong to Aires (TCP/REM), Elmer (LD/DFW/TCP/ISH), Pack (DFW/LD), Yogurt (MLB/DFW/ISH) and Fresh (CNS/ISH). They can be found in original or abbreviated (short) throws. Each unique to their crumbling surroundings.

Every wonder why writers like doing throws? I caught up with a few of them in Detroit and asked why they like to do them the most.

“It’s the rawest shit you can do, other than tags. Don’t cut back, shit even leave ’em half finished, who gives a fuck. Fast and fun” – Elmer

“They are quick and easy, great for the streets.” – Yogurt

“It’s the best thing in the game! If you don’t have a proper throw, you’re not a writer. The best writers in the game can’t even do one, enough said.” – Pack
