Toofly Paints Strand Bookstore in New York City

By - Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Known for her female characters, graffiti artist Toofly from Queens has come a long way. Yesterday, she painted the 12th Street side of the legendary Strand Bookstore in New York City. The wall is part of a project by photographer Hank O’Neal, a ex-CIA agent who began documenting graffiti and street art in the 70’s and continues to do so. He is releasing his new book, XCIA’s Street Art Project: The First Four Decades, a collection of photographs over the decades of graffiti’s evolution. Photo: Strand Books
