Poesia has been a friend of 12oz since he was in 3 issues of the mag in the 90s. Currently he is the founder of Graffuturism which focuses on progressive graffiti and has a solo show opening May 4th in San Jose, CA.

During the nineties, Poesia was a member of the Transcend Collective, a graff crew including Joker, Persue, Mune, Kema, Anna and Ouija that were well-known for their focus on “Abstract Graffiti” styles. He still reps the crew in the new millennium, even as he continues to evolve as a painter in new directions that continue to challenge himself and his fans.

Note: A couple years ago the majority of Poesia’s documentation of his work was lost. If anyone has photos of any of Poesia’s art from any time period, please reach out to him here to help rebuild his archives. Thank you.
