Spar is an old school graffiti writer, founder of the @149st website, and co-author of Graffiti New York. Involved in the graffiti world since the 70’s, whereas most graffiti writers focused on painting trains, Spar was attracted to tagging busses which also carried his name throughout city streets. Spar’s art is highly psychedelic, influenced by the work Grateful Dead nearly as much a other graffiti that he grew up looking at.
