Video: Cantwo "The Alphabet"

By - Friday, March 16th, 2012

The two things German graffiti writer Can Two is distinctly known for are his iconic characters and his strong, clean, traditional New York-style letters. Each letter on this wall is painted in a different color scheme with a slightly different style showing great diversity. On this mural, in addition to all 26 letters, Can Two Incorporated cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse in Fantasia garb, Winnie the Pooh, the Pink Panther, and even a flying eyeball (a reference to Subway Art). “In 2009 MadC asked me to contribute an alphabet for her „Street Fonts” book project. It was clear to me that I would not want to create an alphabet in a usual sense but rather do a complete illustration. Because I was really satisfied with the result, it was itching in my fingers to transfer the illustration to a large wall. I managed to finish the whole wall within a week in October. Thanks out to Manuel from MOS for allocating the wall and to Dubiz from Australia for his helping hand at the wall.” -Can Two
