In this video by Jackson Fager and Aaron Lake Smith, we get a first person POV of what it is like to hop a freight train to get where you’re going, in their case Britt, Iowa for the National Hobo Convention. Although it is not their first time riding the rails, it doesn’t go easily for them. The riders start their journey in Oakland, where a worker spots them and the bull sends them walking. After taking an Amtrak to Roseville they make it on a train, but the conductor stops and kicks them off 5 miles out. Finally, they take a bus to Reno where they catch out. Check out some of the footage from their ride.
