Video: Graffiti Universe TV Profile on Old School Graffiti Writer Turk 62

By - Monday, June 11th, 2012

Graffiti Universe TV recently released its latest video focusing on Turk 62. He talks about his start as a writer in 1968 as a way to keep himself away from gang activity and drugs. A year later, he started tagging trains with other writers such as PJ 109, Libra and Andy 167. This lead him to meet Bot707 and Ghetto. Turk 62 goes on to say he never considered himself a big writer; he was just doing it to have fun. Years later, graffiti still continues to be a hobby for him or as he says “a form of therapy.”
