Here Comes The Neighborhood “Introducing the Walls” sets the stage for this video series and gives an overview of the behind the scenes teamwork it took to turn desolate parking lots and loading docks into the “The Wynwood Walls”. Founder Tony Goldman weighs in on the sense of community he hopes the project will provide. Jeffrey Deitch and Co-Curator Medvin Sobio give commentary on the reasons why the Wynwood Walls are such a influential project and photographer and 12oz blogger Martha Cooper is there to cover it all. “I have seen a lot of big graffiti projects but I never would have believed that street art would be the thing to revitalize a neighborhood” she says about the Wynwood Walls in this video.
This episode includes artists like Kunle Martins (Earsnot), Kenny Scharf, Shepherd Fairey, Gaia, and Patrick McNeal from the artist collective Faile.
