Video: NOLLI STHLM by Swedish Artist Rebecka Bebben Andersson

By - Friday, November 16th, 2012

As told by Young Art: The exhibition “NOLLI STHLM” is on-going between 15th of November – 15th of December 2012 at NAU Gallery, Hudiksvallsgatan 4b in Stockholm Rebecka Bebben Andersson (b.1984) studies Master in Fine Arts at the Royal College of Art in Stockholm. In her current project, NOLLI STHLM, the artist outlines her own ideas about the flexibility of moving around in her local environment — Stockholm — and creates a meeting between an outer and an inner time map. The exhibition reveals the artist´s fear in a portrait of a city and how the feeling of freedom and security is determined by both external and internal parameters: the actual location, a certain street, subway station or park, the hour of the day, lack of streetlights, the number of people located at the site and whether they are men or women. In addition, these are in relation to the artist’s own memories, experiences, feelings and fears.
