The Seventh Letter has just released the Detroit Beautification Project Chapter 1. This new video above gives us a window into the journey of a group of artists from around the country and even some from around the globe venturing to Detroit to paint murals and graffiti art in an attempt to beautify the city and “bring vibrancy back to one of America’s greatest cities.” The Detroit Beautification Chapter 1 video specifically details some of the artists interactions with the Detroit community and the different effects the artwork has on different people such as locals residents and the cities’ governing structure.

This is the longest and most in depth video on the project to date. You can see some of the previous videos featured on 12ozProphet; Preview 1, Preview 2, TuffCity in Detroit and Reyes in Detroit. This video tells an exciting and controversial tale of an attempted rebirth of culture in the city of Detroit, there’s no doubt the worldwide graffiti community at large awaits the further chapters of the Detroit Beautification Project.
