For those who don’t know Voices of Art is a new web show that showcases political and socially conscious artists around different issues, events and activities. The latest Episode was based around Oakland graffiti writer GATS (Graffiti Against The System). The video focuses on the violence from the Oakland Police Department. Their killing of unarmed youth, repression of freedom of speech, and the 44 different types of calls they refused to respond to. Watch part one above and part two below.
