A Wild Weekend at Paint Louis 2015

By - Thursday, September 17th, 2015

In the center of it all, St Louis was THE place last weekend for everyone to come together with the same purpose in mind…to crush the flood wall!

Since 1998, the city has been host to Paint Louis. It was shutdown for a few years, returned in 2013 much to the delight of writers across the country. This year was the first year of Paint Louis being a part of Meeting of Styles. The event brings over 300+ writers to town, quite a lot of people to have spots for, but with almost 2 miles of flood wall space it didn’t look like a problem.

AJ Sanchez, a member of the events committee, is one of the artists curators for the event. One of his main responsibilities is to help things run smoothly between the artists and the city. By working closely with the city they allow the flood wall to be painted each year. The wall is broken down by crew productions. This year MFK, LD, DIRT, EHC, CMK, TKO and IWS were a few of the crews that had a large presence. Each crew production was well planned out with coordinating color schemes and characters to match those themes.  Check out the gallery above for some amazing shots from @Boradaexplorer.

Did you miss this years epic event? Are you asking yourself how can I be a part of Paint Louis 2016?
Here’s AJ for more info:

“The best way of securing a spot is to email us at stlpaintlouis@gmail.com. Tell us what you write, the crew you rep, where you’re from and submit 3 photos of your best work”.

Make sure to get your submissions in early so you don’t miss out on this unique painting opp in 2016! That’s a wrap for this year!

Special thanks to @Boradaexplorer for event coverage shots and AJ Sanchez for taking the time to fill us in on what all happens in Paint Louis.
