By - Friday, November 29th, 2013

Amateur is an independent zine published in Switzerland twice a year. With a focus on the arts, the independent publication features graffiti, street art, photography, illustration, design, street wear and even vinyl toys. Issue 013 is centred on the underground art movement within the city of Vienna, with Austrian graffiti artist and illustrator Nychos gracing the cover. Amateur have given their readers a sneak peak into Nychos’ studio with a 360 degree tour over on their website here. Inside this issue, Amateur has collated interviews from Nychos, Serbian graffiti duo Sobekcis and Above to name a few. Amateur have even featured a complete guide to Vienna, which includes an extensive list of art galleries and legal walls to check out on your spraycation. 5000 copies of each issue are printed with each release, and the passion from the “amateur” art lovers who contribute to the zine is evident in every part of the 110 page publication. The collective behind Amateur support their local scene, and it is zines like this that will keep the graffiti movement alive. To subscribe to Amateur magazine, head over to their website here. Issue 013 will be available until April ’14.
