Zine Review: Suspect

By - Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013

In Suspect, Matthew Eloy switches from photos of the urban landscape to those of rural America, while mixing in a dash of graffiti along the way. This zine does a good job at showing how everything interacts with each other, whether it be traveling to a new town and having to cross desolate landscapes, or watching the buff go over your piece, in a sense everything is connected. With Eloy’s use of people as the subject in most of his photos it adds a bit of realness which is very good. This Is Eloy’s first solo zine and everything was shot on 35mm film. This zine was published by the awesome people over at Nighted, if you don’t already know about them definitely check them out! Submit your zine to be reviewed! 12oz Zine Reviews PO Box 11204 Portland, OR 97211
